The easiest way to reach us is to schedule a call or phone us. Meetings are by appointment only. If your case is in Tarrant County, your hearings will be at one of the two statutory probate courts downtown at 100 West Weatherford Street.
Both probate courts are in the same building, but they are in different rooms and keep separate dockets. A hearing date in one court has nothing to do with the other. Your cause number tells you which court has your case, so check the papers you received before you go downtown.
Probate Court No. 1 sets hearings by email. The court replies with available dates, and its published policies say those dates may go to several people at once and are given out first come, first served. The lawyer who asked for the setting then has to e-file a confirmation letter and send copies to all parties.
That’s why we ask for your documents early. If we have what we need, we can take an open date as soon as the court offers it.
Tell us who died, or who you want removed; which court the case is in, if you know; and what you have signed or been served with so far. If the case is in Parker, Wise, Johnson or Hood County instead of Tarrant, tell us that too. Those counties don’t have a statutory probate court, which affects where a contested case is heard.
Tell us what has happened so far, and we will tell you whether it is worth pursuing.
The first conversation is short and free.
